Heather first got a taste of the events industry in 2012 as a student at The University of Alabama where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Restaurant and Hospitality Management. While at The University of Alabama, she was an active member of several hospitality organizations and served on various executive boards for two years. In addition, Heather worked as an intern with the City of Tuscaloosa River Market, where she acquired experience with venue management, sales, and marketing. After acquiring her degree, Heather moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to further pursue her career along the sugar white sands at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. During her time on the Emerald Coast, Heather has coordinated hundreds of events and has proven to be a valuable member of the ECCC team. Her clients love her attention to detail, her enthusiasm, and her constant desire to excel in everything she does, and are eager to work with her year after year. Heather is an active member of Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) and the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) where she currently serves on the University Committee. She recently completed her first year of Venue Management School and is preparing to sit for her Certified Meetings Professional (CMP) certification in 2017.
