Bio

In 1979 I became an usher at the then Morris Civic Auditorium. As the years passed I continued to work at the auditorium in various areas. Concession stand, box office, bar-tending, stagehand, and runner. In 1995, I offered to help the Director coordinate a few shows while they searched for a full-time event coordinator. I applied for and received that job. I graduated from PAFMS at Oglebay in 1999. In 2003, I was promoted to Director of Booking and Event Operations. I earned my CVE designation with IAVM in 2016. I retired from the Morris in November of 2018. After a brief stint as the Private Events Director at Knollwood Country Club, I accepted a position as the Director of Booking at The Barns at Nappanee in April of 2020.  The Barns is a small 400 seat theater, restaurant, and shop.  Home of the Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival. After getting laid off due to no business from COVID.  I went back to school and got a certificate in Insurance and my Indiana License to practice health and life insurance.  I am now the venue and events director for our new Downtown Library. The Library underwent a two-year renovation and expansion and added a theater, ballroom, and several meeting spaces.

When not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband Tim, 2 dogs, Lucy and Trixy. We love to watch the Chicago Cubs. Gardening, cooking, collecting cookbooks, and reading are other fun past times. We are the proud parents of 2 boys, Lucas  and his husband Luke live in Madison, WI, and Alex who is married to our wonderful daughter in law, Abrah who live in Tacoma, WA
