Currently, I serve as the Theater Operations Manager at the Kauffman Center for the performing arts. I administer event coordination and hospitality for both Helzberg Hall (traditional concert hall) and Muriel Kauffman Theater (proscenium theater). I coordinate details of contractual obligations to support productions, assemble license agreements for the venue clients, and track usage requests, communications, license agreements, performer contracts, deposit, and insurance certificates for all productions. I oversee all lodging, transportation and catering for clients during their visit. Additionally, I manage the event scheduling software and ensure that the venue calendar is up-to-date as well as assisting with in-house scheduling requests.
I am excited to be a member of IAVM. I started my membership when attending the Venue Management School in 2013. Since that time, I have dedicated my time to two scholarship committees, and currently sit on the PAMC planning committee.
Beyond IAVM, I maintain my membership in Actor's Equity Association, as a stage manager. Stage management genres have included musicals, opera, ballet, galas, children's theater and even a puppet rendition of "The Mikado." My career in the performing arts all began as a high school educator. I went on from there to teach a number of collegiate classes in stage management and arts management, and the rest is history.
