Bio

I have been involved in the venue management industry for Over 25 years. I have worked for private management companies in municipal, privately owned and University owned venues. For the past 17 years I have worked with Spectra Venue Management primarily in University Owned Campus Arenas. I am currently at University of Houston and am working for OVG Facilities.  I have always enjoyed the University environment and have enjoyed getting involved with IAVM on their Universities Committee, Arenas Committee, and even a stint on the Board of Directors.  My positions have taken me around the country and I have the good fortune of being able to run into colleagues and friends from this business everywhere.

I have been a presenter, and moderator at the University Venues Management Conference, Arenas Conference and more recently the Upstart Emerging Leaders Program. I believe I am coming up on 25 years of IAVM membership and its been a great relationship.  Not only a resource for all of us as members, but also an opportunity to contribute back to the industry that has been such a big part of my adult life.

It took me a while but I finally went and graduated from Public Assembly Facility Management School at Oglebay in Wheeling, WV. I also participated in the CEO Symposium presented by the Academy for Venue Safety and Security in Houston. Finally, I was able to earn my CFE designation in 2013.

I am a proud Temple Owl with a B.A. Degree in Communications from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. But on the outside I always root for the home team.  Or as my colleague once reminded me, we always root for the rent!
