SMG announced that the Lynnwood Public Facilities District (LPFD) has extended the management contract of SMG to continue managing the Lynnwood Convention Center for an additional five years. The new agreement also calls an additional five year renewal option after the initial term.
"We have an outstanding team here in Lynnwood, and we are all so very proud to continue to manage the Lynnwood Convention Center," said Kelvin D. Moore, CMP, SMG General Manager of the center. "We will continue to be forward thinking, customer focused and diligent fiscal stewards on behalf of the LPFD and the City of Lynnwood," Moore added.
"The faith shown by the Lynnwood Public Facilities District in SMG's ability to continue to meet and exceed expectations is very gratifying, and is testament to the strong team we have built in Lynnwood," said Bob McClintock, SMG Senior Vice President for Convention Centers.
SMG Regional General Manager Allyson Jackson added, "We are pleased to be a part of the overall success of Lynnwood's hospitality industry. The Convention Center has proven to be a real winner for the community, which is a tribute to our strong management team there and great partnerships with local and regional hospitality partners."
