Convention center architect Donald Grinberg, FAIA, LEEDR AP announced
that he has formed an independent architecture, planning and consulting
practice to serve the convention and conference center industry.
"This
new endeavor advances my commitment to help create sustainable,
signature facilities that provide positive economic impact and promote
civic pride," Grinberg said.
Grinberg led the national
convention center practice of Kansas City-based HNTB for 18 of his 33
years with the firm. He is a widely recognized industry leader with
extensive experience in the planning and design of new, expanded and
renovated centers throughout North America.
Cities that
have benefited from his expertise in public assembly facilities include
Toronto, Saratoga Springs (NY), Boston, Providence, Washington, Ft.
Lauderdale, Las Cruces (NM), Phoenix, Ontario (CA), Santa Clara, San
Diego, and many others.

applying my years of experience to help clients navigate the complex
challenges of making these facilities successful."
In
addition to his design, planning and consulting practice, Grinberg will
continue writing and speaking about trends and the future of
architecture for the meetings and convention industry.
