The TMS is adding Pit Stop Park, a gated park consisting of 76 reserved
tailgating spots to be located near the track’s main entrance. The park
will be larger than a football field and should be completed by early
March. Each tailgating spot measures 36 feet long and 15 feet wide and
will include a portable restroom station, a common area with picnic
tables, security, trash pick-up, horseshoe pits and catering options,
and will open some six hours before races begin.
Pit Stop Park
also means an added revenue stream for the track as fans must purchase a
personal parking license for $1,000, with the PPL holder then charged a
$750 yearly maintenance fee. Discounts will be offered to current PSL
and season-ticket holders.
