MetraPark Tornado Update

By now many in the industry are aware of the tornado that ripped through the MetraPark in Billings, Montana on Sunday and decimated the Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark. The tornado struck approximately at 5 p.m., some 12 hours after the arena hosted 7,000 fans for a Billings Outlaws Indoor Football League game.

Monday was a day of assessment with structural engineers present to look at the venue, said MetraPark's Sandra Hawke. "We are tired but alive and happy no one is injured," said Hawke.

Ed Larsen, operations director, added that everyone is "moving forward and making plans" concerning some upcoming events, including a dog show and an Antiques Road Show this coming Saturday.

Front Row News had a story along with pictures and videos today and will be updating on Tuesday with more from Billings.

Meanwhile, please keep our industry colleagues and friends in thoughts and prayer as they rebuild following this difficult time.
