Recap of Friday night at ICCC

By Tammy Koolbeck posted 09-25-2010 12:50

This morning came a bit early as Corbin Ball started at 8:30 am.  The San Diego Convention Center threw a great party last night on their patio overlooking the water.  CenterPlate and Chef Jeffrey presented unbelievable food and drink.  AV Concepts produced the entertainment stage.  It was hard to leave to go to the Padres game and we waited as long as we could.  Our group (Dave, Rich and Kristen from Venues Today and Jordan from Spec Seats) finally made it to the game in the 4th inning and lucky for us, most of the action occurred from the 5th inning through the 8th inning...saw a dude…well a Cuban dude from the Reds…Chapman through 104 miles per hour who ended up throwing something like 12 balls and 16 strikes and the Padres won 4-3.

We then did a walking tour of Gaslamp Alley so we are ready for tonight’s city stroll that will be led by ICCC Chair, Dave Anderson and sponsored by Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services.

Good attendance this morning for the first session.

Lunch is being sponsored by PSAV, VenuWorks is sponsoring the last session of the day:  Fixing Our Image:  An Urgent Industry Priority.
