Elizabeth Peacock, Facility & Events Manager, Joplin Memorial Hall stated: "We are all okay. Our staff has all been accounted for. Some have lost their homes, and we are now participating in search and rescue/recovery. Memorial Hall is being used as a triage center at this time by St. John’s/Mercy hospital, the hospital that got destroyed. We are predicting that after the hospital pulls out, we will be a shelter for displaced citizens. We are more and more organized as the days go on, and for us here at the Hall we are doing alright. Thank you for your prayers as we need them."
She added, "Personally, I do want to say that as a facility manager, I was more prepared for this than I thought, from reading the articles and listening to other managers that have been in this situation.”
