I figured out how to streamline the advancing process.
If you've been around live production long enough, you know how messy advancing can get. Endless emails, outdated PDFs, conflicting versions, and that feeling that we're all chasing the same information from three different directions.
Recently I spoke on a panel at Live Production Summit, and the overwhelming feeling in the room was the same - we can do this part better.
I found it.
I've been working with the Master Tour team on their new Tech Pack and Master Tour Venue tools. What makes it different is that it's not another app to learn or pay for - it's free, standardized, and already connected to what most tours are using. Nearly 9 out of 10 touring acts are already advancing inside Master Tour.
That means most of the shows walking into your venue are already using the same system - we just haven't been speaking the same language yet.
