Dr. Kim Mahoney has over 30 years of industry experience including NFL, NBA, NHL, and major college facilities. She has worked in a variety of capacities within public assembly venues including as a staffing contractor, a client, and a member of the venue management team. Dr. Mahoney was also involved with the opening of three new venues, including a convention center, a football stadium, and a multi-purpose arena. She is an IAVM Certified Venue Professional (CVP) and previously served as the Director of Communications and Program Development with Columbus Arena Sports & Entertainment (CASE), which manages both Nationwide Arena (home of the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets) and the Schottenstein Center (home of the Ohio State Buckeyes). Kim co-authored IAVM’s current venue management textbook and previously served as a faculty member teaching in the areas of venue and event management. She currently works as a consultant with Venulogix providing services in a variety of areas within the sports and entertainment industry.
