Jeremy Ackles is the Event Manager at the Columbus Georgia Consolidated Government’s Civic Center and Ice Rink. He serves as part of an experienced team of professionals that are dedicated to promoting and enhancing vibrant, diverse, and sustainable events by researching and developing venue management solutions.

Upon graduating from Columbus State University  earning a Master’s in Public Administration, Jeremy has been working in the field of Venue Management, Economic Development and Government Administration for over 4 years and has experience implementing Greater Columbus’ new holistic community and economic development strategic plan to reopen during the age of COVID-19. He is also a graduate of Troy University earning a Bachelor’s in Public Relations and a graduate of the International Association of Venue Managers program, Academy of Venue Safety and Security.

He currently is as the Vice President of the Rotaract Club of Greater Columbus, alongside President Kenny Leuer, and various private, public, and nonprofit young professional leaders. The Rotaract Club of Greater Columbus is community organization that works to ensure Greater Columbus reaches its goal of increasing prosperity, reducing poverty, and improving overall quality of life for the youth in Greater Columbus, GA. Their Rotaract Club also shares the mission of the Rotary International in eliminating Polio and ending human trafficking.

Jeremy is a not only a native but also works closely with the Columbus, GA community by volunteering and working for the betterment of others. He is also an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and serves on the Keep Columbus GA Beautiful Boards of Commissioners. Additionally, he enjoys fishing, traveling, reading and playing tennis and basketball.
